We’re thrilled to announce the release of Divi Pixel 2.47.0—a milestone update that continues our journey into the future of Divi. In this version, we focused on fixing critical issues, including Divi 5 migration challenges, selective asset loading, and more.

As Elegant Themes pushes forward with Divi 5, our mission remains clear: deliver a smooth, high-performance experience that’s fully aligned with the next generation of web design standards. Every update strengthens this commitment, ensuring a seamless and rewarding transition from Divi 4 to Divi 5.

In our previous release, we introduced the Table of Contents module – an essential tool that improves readability and navigation for long-form articles, tutorials, and documentation.

What is Divi 5 Beta?

Divi 5 Beta is the early-access developer preview of Elegant Themes’ completely rebuilt Divi Builder. Engineered from the ground up, Divi 5 promises major improvements across performance, scalability, and flexibility—setting a new standard for the entire Divi ecosystem.

Before diving in, here are a few important reminders:

  1. Divi 5 Beta is for staging and development environments only.
  2. Continue building live websites with Divi 4 until Divi 5 reaches a stable public release.
  3. Expect frequent Beta updates as Elegant Themes rolls out new features, fixes, and enhancements.

Exploring Divi Pixel modules – like the Hover Gallery, Filterable Grid and more – now will help you get fully prepared to take advantage of Divi 5’s improvements when the stable version arrives.

Divi 5 Migration

Migration changed significantly starting from Divi 5 Alpha 23, which required all third-party developers to rewrite their module conversion files. To ensure full compatibility, we thoroughly reviewed and rebuilt conversion logic for every Divi Pixel module, aligning them with the newest Divi 5 conversion architecture. We rigorously tested all Divi 4 module demos to confirm they migrate into native Divi 5 mode after import (rather than reverting to backward compatibility mode). This ensures your existing designs will be future-proof and fully optimized for Divi 5.

Dynamic Content Functionality

Dynamic content is essential for building scalable, content-driven websites—especially when using Theme Builder templates. Because Divi 5 handles dynamic content differently than Divi 4, we audited all Divi Pixel modules and added dynamic content support to nearly every field where it was possible. This means more flexibility, more automation, and more powerful workflows for complex websites.

Selective Assets Loading for All Divi Pixel Modules

Users reported that Divi Pixel modules were loading JavaScript assets on the front end—even when the modules weren’t being used. We tackled this issue head-on. With version 2.47.0, Divi Pixel now loads assets selectively, pulling in only what’s required for the modules present on the page. This optimization results in faster load times, lighter pages, and a more efficient website performance overall.

Divi Library Component

Many Divi Pixel modules rely on Divi Library items—especially modules like Advanced Tabs, Balloon, and Content Toggle. To ensure a smooth transition for these modules in Divi 5, we’ve introduced a dedicated, reusable Divi Library Component. This new component provides consistent handling of library-based content across all dependent modules, allowing several previously unconverted modules to move into the Divi 5-ready pipeline for future updates.

In this release, the Content Toggle module—previously available in Divi 4—has now been added to the Divi 5 lineup.

Popup Maker Reborn: Full Divi 5 Compatibility

The Divi Pixel Popup Maker enables users to build popups using the Divi Builder within a custom post type. However, in Divi 5, the system couldn’t automatically output the required CSS and JS from CPT layouts—making the feature unusable. After extensive development and testing, we’ve solved this challenge. Popup Maker is now fully compatible with Divi 5, including advanced trigger settings and selective assets loading. You can once again create dynamic, high-impact popups with full Divi 5 support.

Hide Unused Divi 5 Modules in the Builder

With our latest update, Divi 5 modules are enabled by default and automatically activate when the Divi 5 Theme is used. You can now selectively hide unused Divi 5 modules in the Divi Builder, keeping your workspace clean and focused. Disabling modules you don’t need prevents unnecessary assets from loading, resulting in faster performance and a smoother editing experience. It’s a simple, effective way to reduce clutter, speed up your workflow, and improve Divi 5 responsiveness with just a few clicks.

What’s next?

With the new Divi Library component complete, we can now reuse it to convert the remaining modules that rely on library items—such as Advanced Tabs, Content Toggle, and the Balloon module. In the upcoming updates, our priority is to migrate all remaining modules and ensure full Divi 5 compatibility across the entire Divi Pixel ecosystem.

In addition, we’re excited to announce that three brand-new layout packs are in the final stages of development and will be released in the coming weeks—bringing fresh design inspiration and even more value to your Divi workflow.

Upcoming plans include:
• More module conversions
• Brand-new modules built for Divi 5’s architecture
• Performance and UX enhancements across the plugin
