New! Table of Contents Module Now Divi 5 Alpha Ready

by Sep 4, 2025Announcements, Pixel Modules

We’re thrilled to announce the release of Divi Pixel 2.46.0—a milestone update that continues our journey into the future of Divi. With this version, the Table of Contents module has been fully re-engineered to work seamlessly with the Divi 5 Alpha framework. This marks the 44th Divi Pixel module that’s been upgraded for Divi 5 compatibility.

As Elegant Themes pushes forward with Divi 5, our mission remains clear: give Divi Pixel users a smooth, high-performance experience that’s ready for tomorrow’s web design standards. Every release strengthens that mission, making the transition from Divi 4 to Divi 5 both effortless and rewarding.

In our previous update, we rolled out the FAQ module, which brought new SEO potential by supporting structured content that can appear in Google’s rich results. With version 2.46.0, we’re adding another essential tool: the Table of Contents module, rebuilt to take full advantage of the Divi 5 Alpha framework while preserving backward compatibility.

What is Divi 5 Alpha?

Divi 5 Alpha is the early-access developer preview of Elegant Themes’ completely redesigned Divi Builder. Built from the ground up, it promises faster performance, better scalability, and more flexibility than ever before.

Important notes before diving in:

  1. Divi 5 Alpha should be used only on staging or development sites, not production.
  2. Continue building live sites with Divi 4 until Divi 5 reaches a stable release.
  3. Expect frequent updates to the Alpha version as Elegant Themes introduces new features and refinements.

By experimenting with Divi Pixel modules like the Table of Contents now, you’ll be fully prepared to take advantage of Divi 5’s improvements once the stable release arrives.

The Table of Contents Module Goes Divi 5-Ready

The Table of Contents (TOC) module is a must-have for websites with long-form content such as blogs, tutorials, or documentation. It automatically generates a clickable outline of your page, letting readers jump directly to the sections they care about. With this update, the TOC module has been completely rebuilt to ensure full compatibility with Divi 5 Alpha, unlocking the benefits of the new architecture while maintaining support for existing Divi 4 setups.

Key features:

  1. Exclude or include specific sections with CSS selectors
  2. Choose which heading levels to display (H2, H3, etc.)
  3. Customize list icons and styling for a tailored look

Clear Navigation for Long-Form Content

The Table of Contents module is all about usability. It helps readers quickly scan your content and jump straight to the sections they’re most interested in. This makes long articles, tutorials, and documentation much easier to navigate.

Key benefits:

  1. Effortless navigation: Readers can instantly jump to the exact section they need.
  2. Improved readability: Breaks down long-form content into clear, clickable sections.
  3. Customizable design: Adjust icons, headings, and styles to match your website’s look.

Ready-to-Use Demo Sections

To help you get started quickly, we’ve prepared three pre-designed demo sections showcasing the TOC module in action. These layouts are fully compatible with Divi 5 Alpha and can be imported into your library in seconds. Each demo is styled to highlight different use cases, so you can easily adapt them to fit your website.

How to use the demo layouts:

  1. Import the layouts into your Divi Library
  2. Insert your chosen TOC section into any page using the Divi Builder
