Introducing Divi Library Shortcodes
It’s the time for another update! In this release we have focused on bug fixes and improvements.
We were working hard over the last few weeks where we have fixed various bugs, improved multiple features and added some new cool settings to the Divi Pixel options panel. The changelog for this version is long, but in this article, I will mention the most crucial fixes and improvements.
Introducing Divi Library Shortcodes
As in the title, we have added new functionality to the plugin. This is a very useful feature that will allow us to use Divi Library items inside other modules. We will see a new column in the Divi Library where we can copy the library item shortcode and place it in any other module which supports the text field.
Let’s say we want to use the Divi Pixel Hover Box module and display team members with some info text and social icons. Hover Box doesn’t offer social icons, but with this new feature, we can easily add them to the description field. To do that we only need to create section/row or module with Social Icons and save it to the Divi Library. Once it is saved, we can copy its shortcode and add it to the description text in Hover Box module. This new feature can be also disabled on the plugin settings screen, so shortcodes won’t be displayed in the Divi Library.
Apply Blog Style to the Native Divi Blog Module
Divi Pixel offers various blog styles which can be customized in Theme Customizer and applied to archive pages. With this update, we will also be able to apply the blog style selected in the plugin settings to the native Blog module. To do that we only need to add a custom class “dipi-styled-blog” to Blog module, so the proper layout can be applied.

Meet the New Image Hotspot features
Image Hotspot is another unique and yet powerful module available in the Divi Pixel arsenal. It allows us to place multiple hotspots on an image and display tooltips when the user mouse over or click on the hotspot. In this new release, we have added new settings that will allow us to add a link to the hotspot itself, and also disable tooltips, so users will be able to click on the hotspot itself, and it will take them to the page defined in the hotspot link field.

If you are using the Divi Blog module, you can add a custom class dipi-styled-blog and then select the custom layout in Divi/Divi Pixel/Blog. You can customize blog post cards in Theme Customizer (Divi/Theme Customizer/Blog/Categories & Archives).
