Huge Update to the Image Mask Module is Here!
We are not slowing down. Some of the modules we are working on are very complex and building them takes a lot of time. The most anticipated module, the popup maker, will be coming soon, but in the meantime, we’d like to introduce you to some more improvements to one of the already available modules.
This time we took the Image Mask module on the table. As always, we listened to your suggestions. Besides adding 28 additional masks, we also added the ability to add your own shapes. There are also some other useful options that will improve your work with the module, so if that interests you, read on.
Enjoy The 40 Masks with Preview Option
All predefined masks available in the module can significantly speed up the web design process. In this update, we’ve added as many as 28 new masks to help you design more attractive web pages.
All 40 masks that are now available in the module have been carefully designed and should meet even the most demanding requirements. The module, after updating, provides a preview of the masks in builder, so selecting the appropriate mask is now simple and quick. However, if you would like to constantly create something more than that, we’ve added some new options. If you’d like to know more, read on.
Improved Mask Selector Field
This is the first custom field available in the Divi Pixel plugin. It allows you to select the mask visually. Each mask has its own image representation in the Divi Builder module settings which gives us a general idea of what the mask looks like. Since we have 40 masks in the module, it is a great improvement, thanks to which we will not have to check each mask, because the mask preview in the module will make things easier.
New Image Mask Customization Settings
Using the predefined Image Mask shapes was quite limited. You could only select the mask and position the image, but with this update, we have changed it and added new customization settings.
It was very important to us, to give you the ability to manipulate the mask shape, so we have added options to rotate them, flip the mask horizontally or vertically, size the mask and even squeeze it by customizing mask height and width.
Even if we offer 40 masks, it may still not be enough to create a unique website. We tried to add 2-3 masks of the same style, so that you could differentiate the design a bit and still keep the same style. Rotating the mask can completely change the final design, but rotating the mask is not all we’ve added.
Flip mask horizontally or vertically
Flipping the mask horizontally or vertically can also produce nice results. We will get a mirror image of the mask by changing its direction. This allows us to use the same mask on the page, yet create a different layout to the previous one where that mask was already used.
Set Image Mask Width and Height
This new option added to the module allows you to manipulate the size of the mask to find the balance of height and width in relation to the loaded image. Many of you have had a problem at times. So far, the best image size has been a 1: 1 image, but in this update, with new features, we are able to correct it. We can set the height and width of the mask.
Upload Custom Image Mask
These all masks and customization settings available in the module give huge possibilities, however, if you feel you need to use a custom mask, you can now do it! The Divi Pixel Image Mask module allows you to upload custom masks in SVG format. Furthermore, all mask customization settings (expect Custom Border) will work as well, so you can rotate, change the size and flip your mask just like all predefined shapes!
This is it! We hope you enjoy this article and we believe that the new Image Mask clipping shapes and new settings available in this module will make your web design process easier. We will soon introduce the new module, so if you don’t want to miss it, subscribe to our newsletter. If you haven’t purchased the Divi Pixel plugin yet, now is the right time.
